The Legend of Anne Bonny
By Emy McGuire
The Legend of Anne Bonny is an original pirate musical steeped in rich history, swashbuckling spectacle, and queer women’s stories. Told through sword and song, Anne’s legend unfolds at the height of the Golden Age of Piracy and calls into question the price of love, the end of an age, and what it truly takes to be remembered.
The World Premiere of The Legend of Anne Bonny will take place in Summer 2025 by Shifted Lens & Two Cent Lion in Aurora, Colorado.

Leaving for a Loon
Mark is a young soldier, stationed in Valdez, Alaska along with his wife, Mavis during the Cold War. While Mark is enveloped in a world of work and war, Mavis finds solace by steeping herself in Alaska until Mavis suddenly leaves her husband altogether after a night in a lake with a loon.
Leaving for a Loon follows the tangled journey of territories to states and lunacy to love, shown through Mark’s picket-fence understanding of marriage and Mavis’s ferocious affair with the wild.
The World Premiere of Leaving for a Loon will take place in Summer 2025 by the Far North Follies in Valdez, Alaska.
